that is a real world flow test the manifold almost defiantly has to have within 3% flow match between runners to make them numbers .

I am getting ready to dyno test a few intakes on a 2.5 turbo motor. The line up currently is:

1) Stock
2) Extrudehone Factory
3) Lindsey Racing
4) Milledge Barrel Valve

I have never seen the SFR intake but would like to try it on the motor for the info. Anyone have one I could borrow for a week or so?

You have one of those JME intakes??

If you mysteriously die, can I have it?

The Milledge is worth it's weight in gold or there abouts.

If we may ask..., Where did you acquire TWO JME intakes? Let me guess you could tell us but then...

When will you begin your testing? I will be HIGHLY interested in the results

From John of course!!!

It should happen next week or the following week. I have another engine that needs to go on the dyno and a third right behind that (both 911) so I need to get the testing done and the 2.5 off the dyno.

Its WORTH it, or COSTS it?
What do you predict?
And what rpm range is this masterpiece intended for?

At 28in/hg, my 2 valve head flowed exactly the same WITH my manifold, AND WITHOUT it.
All bull**** aside, I have one of the best flowing 2 valve heads around - so factor this in girls before you look into a $6,000 intake.

Yes, I know that ITB are very pretty and are useful on F1 cars.....and 944 turbos.

Best flowing? How? What about flow velocity? That matters more. In example, if you have an electric fan blowing down you hall, you feel the air but blowing out of your garage you won't feel as much airflow even though it's the same cfm.

Remember, more is not always better....unless you are Mark Kibort.

I know - that is what I am asking about RPM on that F1 intake for.

That was a special intake for the Special tool. Our normal intake has longer runners and a little bigger plenum. We also use the velocity stacks in their(and in the Tools too) to keep the velocity up. I think it will fair well against the other intakes you are testing.Hit me up Chris and we will work something out.

You got it. I think it will be cool to see what they all do on the same motor in a controlled enviorment.
