Default Ignition wires: Which ones to get?

I am getting ready to start my car soon and wanted to see what has been people's experience with ignition wires.
Before my restoration, I was using Magnecors. Worked fine but the boots were always a problem.
Bought a set of Nology but not sure if I want to deal with those big bulking wires.
Other option would be stock factory wires.
What are your suggestions? this is a for a 2 valve 3.0 engine.
Thanks in advance.

Burma, what does the firebraid look like? Do you have any pictures.
Thanks.

i personally dont like the lindsey ones, they dont clip onto the plug good and never make a good connection. I put my originals back and it actually ran better

Cory, funny you say that. I have been leaning towards originals as well.

The Magnacor's are a great wire.....but the boots are terrible. Nology are strictly marketing (from a proce perspective). Lindsey wires are made with BERU connectors and wire so I'm not sure why anyone would have fitment problems since the connectors are identical to a stock wire. Just buy the Lindsey set or you can order a set from Kingsborne (not sure if you'll save any money). I'm not sure if Kingsborn makes them for lindsey or not and I believe the lindsey wires are 8mm's and the kingsborne are 7's.

It appears the best option is to buy the lindsey wires made from a magnacore wire that uses a buru connector. I've had the Kingsborne wires (I think I bought them from Lindsey I believe) for almost five years now and after removing them a few dozen times they still work and fit perfectly.

Your local neighborhood Porsche dealer, or Sunset Imports.

I haven't had any issues with the fire braid set from Lindsey, yes they are difficult to get on the plug, but once properly connected have had no issue in over 10K miles... I went with the bigger wire as I am also running an MSD Coil, didn't want the expense of OEM wires being damaged by the hotter coil.. plus they have the resistor built into the boot, can't pick the wrong spark plugs then...

I traded out my stock wires for Magnacor and tore a boot putting the second one on. Magnecor was cool though and sent me a free replacement. I installed the rest with no issues and have been off several times since w/out a hitch.

I have no complaint with my Clewett Engineering wires, though I never hear anyone talk about them (good or bad). I think I got them from Imagine Auto (a site sponsor).
