Same here. Never scrapped it in 4 years of street driving. It's more functional than the AIR as well.

I use screws for the middle holes and zip ties on the sides. I think it just allows enough give for the zipties to pop without stressing the splitter too much. After a big scrape, both sides have come off and I could hear the edges dragging. I'm still on the first splitter after 4 years, but I've adjusted my driving to not abuse it too much.

I like that idea a lot. And i know the GT splitter has more clearance and is more functional, but it's also more expensive, and i dont think it flows with the rest of the car very well. I bought the AIR splitter, now im just waiting on shipment Then we'll see if i can fabricate some sort of skidplate or reinforcement.

I am VERY tempted to look into getting a urethane version made. Anyone have any experience mocking up urethane molds?

hmmm.... this one's got me thinking. How hard is it to mold and cast in polyurethane? it cant be that tricky... make a mold of the splitter in plastic, cut it in half, then fill the mold with some sort of castable polyurethane... has anyone seen a material like this, than can be poured into molds and comes out flexable and durable like polyurethane? I'd definetly be interested in making a couple.
