I think we are talking about outlets.
Cutting the bumper is an outlet?

What about having a 968 style brake cooling scoop under the splitter (or even a splitter with vents in it and ducting behind it) and run air vertically up in between the space between the front of the engine and the back of the radiator through vents inthe bonnet to draw air through the rad and front mounted IC by Venturi effect? A sort of turbo charged cooling system.

You will get better results by improving airflow through your stock radiator and IC than by simply increasing the size of them withouth improving airflow. If you do both then you have the best of both worlds.

lots of nicea ideas about hoods, but why is everyone running steel? thoose things are HEAVY, ever tried lifting one around?

I allready wrote my ideas about airflow to rad/ic, so here goes next fluid.

Oil.
with the 968 brake scoops you get much more choices, you will be able to fit a 19row double with at each side, on servo side you need a smaller washer fluid tank, and a small external cooler to route the servo fluid as you need to remove the loop. they will get very very very good flow so I doubt you will ever have any oil trouble again.

Doug, that's the sort of nose piece that I need with a neater opening than the Manta-Ray. Where did you get it?

David, I remember your bonnet and that is done perfectly. It must help a lot.

Luis, I too like the 968 Naca's but as ST says, in that spot we need exit, not entry.
Having said that, I like the idea of getting some more air into the hood before having exits further back? Deal with the i/c and radiator separately. Then deal with the engine bay??

LFA, sorry I meant lighting with your main ones being deleted, how much light do they throw from underneath to see at night?

Dave, that one would have great cooling abilities. I just don't like the Supra look on our cars.

Scott, I agree with you on all counts and I will try to do pretty much what you're suggesting.

Anders, I have a c/f hood from Van Zweden that I will put the vents / ducts into and I agree with you on the weight. Approx half of the steel hood.
I have the 968cs brake scoops but am looking to do the ducting direct to the rotors so the scoops will come out. I will find the best place to put an extra oil cooler somewhere in there.

Thanks all.

you can also have a fan on one of the oil coolers, hence not needing a frontal area to work.

as for cf hood and half weight? that's heavy! should be 1/4th or less sure its 100% CF?

Well that was a bit of a guess on the respective weights, but as much as I'm a bit disappointed with the final product that I paid a small fortune for, I am sure it's 100% c/f.

Ok, thanks Doug. I will probably seek out a pre-made one, but also have the body shop as a backup. Yours looks to be well done regardless.

it's a proven concept.

333pg, I'll do you a hood when I'm done eh

That looks perfect and thanks for posting that N-Dub. Pretty much exactly what I was picturing so just need to measure up and have it made.
Anders, I'll try it with my current c/f hood which should be fine but thanks for the offer. Very kind.

I'm sure there are guys who have done the nose vents to their cars on here. Search around, you'll find them. The 924 panel wont fit our cars of course.

Patrick, I don't think you really have to worry about too much cooling in our case provided you route the oil hose for the extra cooler so as not to bypass the thermostat.

Exactly Scott. I still have a bit of work to do to achieve my desired outcome for all this oil and water + i/c cooling. Never stops...
