RE the minimum amount of fuel, if possible what you want is the minimum opening time in milli sec as the minimum fuel flow would relate to the size but the minimum opening time might be good to know for each style of injector.
Great investigation it should be very interesting results

For the actual fuel pressure limit it probably needs to be higher than 60 psi to check for failure, as that is only 16.5psi boost on a 3 bar FPR. Lot's of people run higher idle pressures and higher boost so my guess is a lot are exceeding 60psi on a regular basis.

In the end whatever you come up with will be good information.

2) fuel pressure limit (we'll turn up the fuel pressure to 60psi+ and see if the injector still functions correctly)
3) actual flow rate (vs. advertised flow rate)
4) minimum amount of fuel metered per pulse (for idle characteristics)

Are the Delphis' you're testing the 95 lb:
Delphi Multec 1
Flow-Matched Sets
95 lb / hr
Injector
$59.00 each
M.S.R.P. $80.00ea

Seems that the lower minimum flow of these compared to other injectors would make the smaller Delphi's somewhat redundant for our application... unless I'm missing something.

not 100% sure what the delphis are yet (provided to me by a friend) but we'll find out when we test them.

i'll be testing for:
1) flow characteristics (i'll take photos of the spray pattern at various fuel pressure/duty cycle)
2) fuel pressure limit (we'll turn up the fuel pressure to +90psi or whatever the test lab limit is and see if the injector still functions correctly)
3) actual flow rate (vs. advertised flow rate)
4) minimum amount of fuel metered per pulse (for idle characteristics)
5) injector opening times (although i'm not sure if this is something we could accurately measure, i'll find out in any case)
6) minimum opening time in milli sec (is this the same as #5?)

if anyone has any other comparison suggestions, please post up.

did a little searching and these are the delphis;
delphi 2073 17113744 95lb low impedance 1000cc

i'm mostly curious to see if the delphi lock up above 60psi fuel pressure as i've heard stated.

Opening times are easy to measure, but you do need an oscilliscope...

That's great Nize. I will be very interested to see how those Delphi's perform.

#5 could be the same as # 6 if you are testing for the minimum opening time.

Default Siemens 72

Hi.
I am coincidentally using these injectors, Siemens 72/3145, and they work.
I'm not affiliated to this seller, just happened to chance upon this.

michelle; i'm assuming you have the ability to tune the afr with different/bigger injectors.

Yes. I have a Maxtune and an old ARC-II, along with a Zeitronix to keep an eye on things.

Just for thread clarification. It was mentioned upthread that the high impedance injectors will work, they will not as most injectors labeled as high are around 14-15 ohm. I don't think they would even fire and if so would be very lean.

The 951 is somewhat of an irregularity at 4.5ohm
