Help with LR Super 61 Turbo install
Ok, what's the trick? I have the LR Super 61 turbo a "bolt on" as advertised, but I can't get the water pipe w/sensor in position to install the banjo bolt. Is there something I'm not seeing/doing? I was told by Dave that this is a direct bolt on... no modifications. Has anybody installed this turbo? please enlighten me. Thanks for your help. I'm so close to getting this thing back on the road it's "driving" me crazy!!!

Most larger turbos require either a short nipple and collar to extend the fitting or require you to bend the water pipe to get it to bend around the turbo inlet.
Search for turbo water connection, Vitesse turbo hook up...there are several threads on it.

I have just installed this same turbo and I had to modify the cooling fitting. I cut it right above the banjo fitting and had an extension put into place to get it to be in the right spot with the intake manifold dry fitted. Then I tig welded it up, so now it looks stock and the turbo water pump temp. sensor is in the right spot. DO NOT BEND IT YOU CANT GET IT TO FIT, TRUST ME!!!! You can use the 90 degree elbow they include and then go buy some stainless braided hose and use it to get your cooling but it doesnt look stock so I opted for ther extra effort. Beside the banjo setup can last a 12 hour race Im not sure the other methods would!

My TO4E "heat and bend" turned into a "heat and broke". The simple repair by Tim at SFR created all the right angles, presto.
There has been much written on this.

boost feen - would you have a pic of your set-up? would really like to see what you did to make it work. I'm really surprised that LR doesn't outline this when purchasing these largers turbos and/or include the modiified parts to make it a true "bolt on" product. I would have paid the additional expense with no problem. Appreciate the help. Thanks

See what "chilibluepepper" did, when I extended my water pipe, it didn't come out so pretty, so didn't bother taking a picture....,
