"A NEW" Question for those with large turbos
What kind of hose did you use to go from the turbo inlet to the j-boot. I have the LR adaptor for the j boot and I need a hose that is 2 1/2" on 1 side and 1 3/4" on the other.....actually I think I got those measurements wrong but Im just trying to find out what others did and/or where they sourced the hose from.

I don't use the factory J-boot at all. Like many, I've always used a MAF with its own intake pipes. Are you using the factory AFM with a big turbo on a stroked motor?

They are based in Livermore too, so you can probably pick the stuff up in person. If not pickup, at least it will be fast shipping.
I ordered my connectors from them and it is all high quality stuff.

Now with the bigger turbo I cant get this metal part for the turbo water pump to fit. Do i need a new part or can I bend this to fit?

Lots of folks told me to "just heat and bend", of course "heat and bend" turned in to "heat and broke" right where the turbo side line joined the bottom of the temp sw housing. In the end it worked out well because it allowed me to rotate the upper section of the housing towards the drivers side to get my clearances. The new weld was provided by Tim at SFR.

Now is a good time to replace the AOS orings, reseal the upper balance shaft housing and oring, and replace the volt regulator.

Do NOT heat and bend - it's a recipe for disaster. Most of us got brass fittings to move it out to the side. There is a thread on here somewhere with some great pics.
EDIT: Found a pic of mine:

One more question to Michelle. Where did you get those fittings and were they metric? I went to Home depot but they didn't have any metric fittings. I do think I found something that might work but if there are metric fittings that are better I would rather get that.

Roger. It is like an NPT type thread - real common. If you took the through-bolt from the assembly into a hardware store, you will find exactly what you need. I did my K27/6 with two 90 deg. brass fitting from Home Depot - it doesnt just move it up, it moves it over which was for me actually more of a help. For a much bigger snail you may need the step treatment Michelle worked out.
I know there is a thread about it - that's where I got the solution. Try search "K27 + water"
