I have been very lucky, Rob-- as long as these sellers keep agreeing to take personal checks, I will keep buying them

The last 2 owners were both knuckleheads-- but its going back to stock and being sold. Really, now it is too nice to part.

The hood is tempting- the only body/paint issues on the car will be a quarter size clear coat peel spot on the hood. Too bad shipping pretty much kills the deal. . .

Not without a 951, lart will live again but at the moment I am 95oneless, unless I can place my engine in a trailer does that count as a 951?

About the question in topic:
First Ses were silver rose. After building some of them Porsche decided to paint them in other colors. And from 89 turbo dropped the S designation, but still turbo cars had S package in stock.

Lart I got your back on this one! Two Turbo S cars gave up their lives for my 86. I have to thank vultures Boost Feen and Ted Wright for their S kills.

Here is the list of S Bling that my SUPERIOR 86 wears:

88 S trans
88 S torque tube
89 S spindles and hubs
89 S rear trailing arms

Ok.....my superior statement is brash. What the heck, I'll stir it up a little with Lart. So go ahead "S" guys take your best shot.

I say superior 86 because there are so many aftermarket parts that are far superior to S parts. What aftermarket parts do I have that are superior to S parts you might ask? Ball Bearing turbo, Tial waste gate, electronic boost control, larger injectors, MAF, s.s. 4" exhaust, spherical bearings, motorsport control arms, Moton shocks, Big Red brakes, Centerforce clutch, etc.

The above list of "S" parts that I have collected, are just about the only "S" parts that are upgrades. As you can see, the list is SMALL. So "S" guys, keep your car stock and I will fly past your "S" car with a big smile on my face!

I do like the Silver Rose paint though............

But an "S" car that is guards red??? Sorry, but that is just a very lightly modded 86 951. 30 hp....woo hoo. And you can KEEP that butt ugly pink check cloth interior!

Yes "S" cars have some historical value in stock form. I really do think that they should be preserved in stock form. But they are really just the German version of SLOW market imporvement to boost sales. I am reminded of the old cartoon that pictures two vultures sitting on a branch......one says "Screw waiting, I'm gonna kill something". Lart figured this out long ago.

If the S parts are "so desireable", then why do you say an '86 is a superior car?
