great looking car. I like it better in all white now. Not that it didn't look good before.

Looking great Hans! Did your fibreglass guy sort out the bodykit? Love the way your rear tyres sit up inside the wheel arch. I'd like to achieve a similar look.

Nice ride!

How are the rear wing mounts supported to the hatch?

Finally a picture worth a 1000 words, nothing like a 951 doing what is suppose to do, road race. Fantastic car I do envy you.

The rear wing looks like a Kokeln unit.

Thx guys, for all the compliments and nice words.

There were some Q's about the rear wing.
The rear wing unit is an own product, based on a GT3 wing. It was shortened, to not be wider as the body, but now I could fit the original width.
It is easily adjustable,

It is mounted through the lexan rear window

It is mounted on the rear chassis beams . A picture of the mount

I must say, it really works. A friend of mine once had to drive without it, according to him he lost 10-20 km top speed in the turns.

We made the unit 3 years ago, I guess there are 10-15 guys now using it.

Looks quite similar to the Kokeln unit.

Did you buy the GT3 airfoil or did you mold your own?

Would rear hatch glass be strong enough to carry those loads, if one would drill through holes ( aligned with rear wiper hole ) and use "stress plates" on the top and below the glass?

IIRC our estimate was that the rear spoiler exerts a force of 40-50 kgF.
I guess that you would need supports to the floor to cope with this.

The widebody rebuild, which took all of the winter and most of the summer is now nearing completion.
The front bumper shell is still not to my liking, needs rework, but as a whole I am quite satisfied.
Next winter I am going to think about some new striping.

The intention of the widebody rebuild was not to make the car look cooler, but to make it go faster. I will post some preliminary results shortly.
are those gt racing quarter panels? if not then which kind are they?

The quarter panels are made by a local Dutch vendor, and have been quite a quest, which I described here
