I thought I would show some recent pictures of my 944 Turbo in action on the famous Spa/Francorchamps track.
The widebody rebuild, which took all of the winter and most of the summer is now nearing completion.
The front bumper shell is still not to my liking, needs rework, but as a whole I am quite satisfied.
Next winter I am going to think about some new striping.

The intention of the widebody rebuild was not to make the car look cooler, but to make it go faster. I will post some preliminary results shortly.

btw what rim and tire width are you running? and what tire?

Hi Anders. Laptimes are quite interesting, did not try in earnest yet, but with a passenger and old tires I was at 2:47. I estimate under race conditions I could do 2:43ish and that is with only 350 crank HP. The older 380 HP 996 GT3 and Cups I can keep up with or beat, the newer 420 HP are just to quick. they run like 2:38s

Drop me a message when you go there next time, perhaps we could meet

I run 285 or 305 Pirelli or 280 Dunlop slicks, on 10,5x18 rims.

I'm trying to locate my datalogs to find times, but then I thought.. I haven't driven it this year with the new layout yet so not really compatible.
well, just called some friends who drove a 997 GT3 on cup tires around there.. they are over 2:50. they were very impressed with your times!
do you race in any class dictating you cannot run over 350hp crank? my class we measure wheels and can't have less than 3kg per HP.
are you running early or late arms? I'm speccing my wheels and wondering what offsett to run and what width, plan was 295 front and 315 rear, class dictates only michelin pilot sport cup tires are allowed as michelin is the sponsor, and slicks ar enot allowed as we need license plates. for Spa-francochaps and nürburgring on closed days I will however buy a set.
aprox what speeds are you hitting accelerator again when going up o-rouge?
