Actually thats the most efficient design of a splitter. Look at any of the current high level sedan race cars and thats the very design they use.

Oli,
I would love to buy the top piece from you if you'd be willing to sell it to me.
Maybe I'm thinking of the concept as offering downforce rather than as the name suggests, a 'splitter'? Not sure, but to my mind the AIR race ones that point down, will give greater downforce than the splitter type.

The concept of a splitter is to trap the air preventing it as much as possible from going under the car but rather forcing it to go around.

I made contact with Tim who is the guy selling the splitters on ebay. He stated minimum 5 units paid upfront: $150 for composite and $195 for carbon fiber: shipping in a box for security and UPS ground on cost recovery basis.

He mentions front spoiler. I am guessing that they extend under the car like the original, but i would like to make sure. If so, I am in.

Daredevil...please post pics when you get them. It would be interesting to see if it does cover underneath. I say once we feel comftorable with the product we can contact John D for a group buy, then commit.

Also we should have one point of contact and negotiate pricing if we can get 10 commited buyers.

i agree, more and better pictures would either make or break the deal with me. Carbon Fyber would look pretty nice, to bad my car is white and not black

I have contacted him again and he re-confirmed the price and that we need 5 committed buyers. I have requested pics of the splitter off the car and I have asked how far it extends under the car. I don't know if we have 5 interested, but it seems like it and for that kind of money...why not buy one?

I just found this auction also and had emailed him about pics of the splitter both off the car and from a farther distance showing how the front end looks with the splitter mounted. I searched this board to see if there was any info on this splitter and came across this thread. I was hoping someone here had purchased one of these already to get feedback. Looks like a lot on the fence. Whoever gets these pics first please post them here. I will pass along any reply I get on this item.
