2.8 Rebuld goes full throttle!
Yee Haaw...
Finally got the 2000 break-in miles in on the 2.8 stroker rebuld. I can finally use my right foot to drive again. What a beast. At 13 psi floor it in first gear rolling and it will spin the tires to red line. Got the okay to crank the boost to 15 psi and it does the same thing in 2nd! Did a 3rd gear run to check the AFR and it held 11.7 steady all the way to the rev limiter. That was with the rough tune for break-in. Still needs the final Mafterburner/Fuel pressure tweak and tune at full boost. But I am going to have some fun at the autocross tomorrow!

Actually under the hood doesn't look much different than before except for the bigger MAF.
You can see the where the intercooler hard pipe bumps the hood from all the torque.
Current Specs:
3.0 Liter knife edge cross drilled crank
Pauter Stock length rods
J&E 8.5:1 offset Pistons with heat and friction coatings
LR oil pan baffle
Stage 2 head with race springs and retainers
LR Steam Vent kit
Raceware fasteners
Extrude honed intake
Stage 2 intercooler
LR 36C MAF
72# injectors
LR stock replacement headers
Super61 P-trim wet turbo
Turbo oil filter
3 in downpipe
Graduated 4 inch exhaust
MagnaFlow muffler
Spec Aluminum Flywheel
Spec Stage 4 hybrid solid puck clutch
MafterBurner
Zetrionix Wideband with boost sensor
Maxx951 Chip
The RWHP at this time is top secret, at least until I get some dyno time

Richard,
Something is a miss, you say you have a 'wet' turbo, but is that the coolant pump located way down there? or did you delete the pump?

What kind of oil consumption do you get on that essentially new motor? Probably not even enough miles on it to be able to tell. I find it hard to believe that these cars use oil no matter how new/old so I would love to hear your experience with oil consumption when you get a few more miles on her. Awesome project, I bet the torque is blast

I am anxious to see the dyno results myself.
The turbo water pump is down between the BOV and throttle cam, kinda gray lookin.
At 500 miles I changed the oil. At that change oil was at the full mark on the stick same as when first filled. Now at 2000 miles, 1500 miles later the oil level is still sitting right on the full mark. Mike Lindsey has been asking me how the oil level is and if there are any spots showing up under the car. I think he used some kind of voodoo magic juju dust to keep it from visibly using or losing oil.
It is going to take some time for me get the throttle pedal traction control dialed in. On my way to work tonight I was leisurly accelerating at about 1/2 throttle on an on ramp and chirped the tires going into 3rd.
