Okay so i pull my car out to take it for a short ride before dinner, and i come back to atf or power steering fluid all over the driveway. So i get out and check the tank and its almost empty. I also noticed that the brakes were sqweeking more than normal does the atf have anything to do with the brakes....??

 

sounds like you need to fix your ps- if your cars been sitting awhile, the rotors get rusty- squeek.

 

haha i knew i spelled squeak wrong and how much would it cost at a shop to get the ps rack gaskets all replaced???

 

It may not be the rack, there are rubber hoses from the tabk that go to the pump and to the rack, there is also rubber connections on the p/s cooler line.

Those all have hose clamps (and a couple of crimps) and could be leaking from there.....check that out first.

 

also the little copper rings on all the banjo bolts can leak, 944onlines has a kit of all 8 for 8 bucks and its an easy job

 

there is an update for the supply line banjo bolt for the 86 cars- gets rid of the banjo and is just a fitting that screws into the pump.
