Hey eniac... hopefully you're still watching this thread. Are you still seeing consistent 13.8v on your car? Even when hot and in traffic?
I'm chasing a low voltage issue with the Nissan alternator. Seems at least one other person has the same problem (refresh951). In reading through this thread again, I came across your statement quoted above.
(My low voltage issue is here: https://rennlist.com/forums/944-turb...l#post10428305)
What was your reasoning behind using the Bosch pulley? Was it just to avoid using a 5-rib pulley? And how do you mean it's "smaller"? Is it a smaller diameter? (EDIT: I see you said you wanted the Bosch one for the 6th rib... any other reasons? https://rennlist.com/forums/6896240-post65.html)
My Nissan alternator had a 6-rib pulley installed before it was shipped to me. I'm wondering if, perhaps, I'm under-driving it. If you're seeing a consistent 13.8v (compared to my 12.5 or less).... then I'm wondering what's different between my car and yours. The pulley is definitely one difference.

I have a ready to bolt on one wire Mini Nippondenso alternator and A/C delete bracket for sale. Total weight is 8.75 lbs, including brackets! Output is 50/30 amps, max/idle. I removed this from a friends 951 race car I parted a few years ago, alternator new cost $262 alone and has only two to three race weekends of use. $250 + ship Conus.

Just curious as to an update from people who actually drive their cars, unfortunately mine don't count, as to any failures of this Nissan alternator? I kind of doubt it as I have this same alternator on two of my other turbo ricers for over 20 years without failure.
