HAHAHA - Check out Ted Wright's thread in the 996 forum......
Using the 911 as a pickup for the 951!!!
https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/360012-so-i-had-been-thinking-about-getting-a-pickup-truck.html
I can't say as I blame him - The 996 GT3 I drove a couple months ago had a door close like a Daihatsu Charade, and was about as fast as a 16 valve automatic 928.

I took my 406 SBC into the machine shop in the hatch of a 944 Block, heads, crank, rods, tins.
Shoulda seen the look on my machinist face when he came out to help me get it out of the car.... PRICELESS!
Not the 951 - was my blitz black na. Kinda miss that car. No worries about door dings or theft or grungy clothes, or bad weather. Just jump in and drive the biatch!

That's the best comment on Rennlist of all time! Priceless. Lart at his very best.

Good thing that stuff is going in the garbage, eh?
This block has the nicest cylinder walls that I have ever seen-- and I have had more than my fair share of these things apart

Get ready to laugh and cry -
It is cheap, easy to work with and is sealed paint that will resist fade, did I mention cheap.
John Deere - Blitz Black
IIRC was $39 a gallon (YES FOR A GALLON not quart or pint)
Local JD dealer here has it on the shelf.
