Default So, I had been thinking about getting a pickup-truck. . .

So, I had been thinking about getting a pickup-truck to haul around all those greasy, nasty car parts-- but now that I know the 996's trunk can handle it, why bother?

That is a block for my 951 which I got a steal on-- went and picked it up an hour and a half away today. Everything is great, I am very excited-- although I did drop it on my bumper:

. . .but that's no big deal-- I don't care, just want to get everything to get the 951 together. Plus I have an mk1 gt3 bumper, side skirts, and rear bumper winglets waiting to be painted. Should be on the car in about 2 weeks. I will post pictures of that when it is done- but here is a 'before' picture for reference:

That's a good one Ted. Not the bumper drop, but the pic of a watercooler in a watercooler.

Nice to see Porsche with the engine on the right place. Btw I am very concerned at the idea of dropping the 951 engine in top of 996 bumper did the engine get damaged?

The marks look like it slid off the bumper...did you end up damaging any pavement?

I'm so very concerned about the pavement .

Ted, I see that you are halfway through the project of turbo charging an N/A car..

You know what people say about such projects, don't you?

996 paint on a 951 motor = 30 fewer HP.

Not worthless, but it will probably develop an RMS problem, but they all do so who cares.

At least the 996 has the engine in the right location now........although transverse mounted wouldn't be my first choice.
