I just object to the term Jap axles. Not every Jap axle is better than a 951 axle, I have seen lots break on EVO's etc without huge HP as well... it comes down the the stress on the launch.
well i have never tried with 365 whp and if you had no issues then you where not using any launch control starts , i mean if no launch control and you come out on a weak launch then the axles would survive , but come out under boost and they die, for eg.. 240sx and G35 launched hard will take it , of course you can still break the parts , but they are suprisingly stonger than the 951 setup

umm whoever said this thing can't trap 130 is living in la la land. I know air has quite a effect but, whats the elevation level at the track you are running?

ST's car here in texas would trap 135mph+ and run low 11's. Considering a z oh' weighs 3100 only makes 450ish hp and will trap 125+ here easily.

St's car is 10's on dr's with good driving and good conditions. Atleast here at sea level it is.

I know everyone is asking for film of these events but we may have to leave that on the cutting room floor if it happens...

+1? Is it just a straight bolt in and how does it differ from ours?

I did have launch control as it happens. However I prefer not to use it and feather the throttle myself.

I saw a 930 at pomona at "street drags day" run in the 9's. It looked like he did a soft launch too. I'd never believe it, in fact had a hard time believing it when I saw it, but I saw it with my own eyes so we'll see what happens.

Will it even fit? It looks a little bulky for the rear of our cars...plus the shift rod is facing the wrong way.

I think at this point, it's about time someone came up with a plausible and relatively inexpensive tranny solution for these cars. IMO, there's not much point to spending all that time, money, and effort building something up if there is still a weak link that prevents you from even being able to beat on the car. $10-18k for an aftermarket transaxle is NOT a realistic option for most people IMO.

ahhh no. My post was talking about the 2 cars that are supposed to run in this thread. Neither will run 10's and neither will trap at 130+.

It "would" or it did? If so, post up some videos or some type of proof. There is a big difference in would's and did's.
Like I said in an earlier post, there is a lot more to take into consideration besides weight and hp to make one of these cars run a fast 1/4 time with a high mph. I have had a couple of them, trust me.

I was 16 years old when that data was collected.
