Additional maintenance while the intake is off?
My LR venturi delete kit and heater hoses will be here on Tuesday. I plan on starting the teardown on Monday. What are some of the others things that I should be looking for or other things that I should be doing while the intake is off.
For background info see my cross post at After 6 years, I'm gonna fix it or sell it.

Very minor but you might replace the throttle position sensor screws with allen heads, they are phillips from the factory. It will make adjusting it easier in the future.
#2 on cleaning the grounds, I put dielectric compound over mine afterwards.
Unless they are newer, you should have injector O rings too. They stick after a while and make break when you remove them.

Good tip on cleaning the grounds and the allen heads. I used to have a decent set of ball drivers, but no more. Where can I find those things?
I'm getting the venturi delete with the vacuum hoses and my post also said replacing heater hoses......meant to say radiator hoses. I've got heater delete on the brain, I guess.

I replaced the heater valve and the hoses to and from it. Hard enough with IM off. I did this a year ago as part of the IceShark battery cable install, trying to remember....

If you're keeping the ISV, get new hose clamps for it and do a leak check on it.
I capped the output fitting with a thumb and blew into the inlet only to hear a faint hiss from the socket end. Replaced with new and idle is back to normal.

Other random things: You could reseal your throttle body, change spark plugs (easier with intake off), replace air filter, clean out the ISV, get injectors cleaned, replace injector o-rings, replace clamps generally (with hoses), test temp sensors/check harness connectors, replace O2 sensor (easier to route), check ref sensor connectors, clean bell housing grounds, eliminate/modify 3-pipe manifold if not needed, and clean everything.

HA, all the stuff you said Tom M'Guinn, I have on my list to do or already did (like re-build intake, new injectors). Pretty much I am cleaning and replacing LOTS of stuff when I take mine out. Cleaning my intake manifold, all grounds, ref sensors are good. Replacing wires, plugs, cap, rotor, all vaccum lines, O2 sensor, 2 piece cross over to a 3 piece from Lindsey, new turbo.

There is no end to what you can do. If you get to the crossover then why not do the oil pan gasket and baffle/scraper and fresh bearings? While doing that it is natural to reseal the steering rack and replace the a-arms. It is a slippery slope to draw a line on
