Default Are drivers and pass seats revesable?

I have a worn bolster on the drivers side, the passenger is fine, I was going to drop off at upholsty shop w/ a few other pieces. Then put the passenger seat in drivers side until the drivers seat is ready.

Is this possible?

Thanks
Steve

Sort of.

I believe you may be able to install them, but things like control hardware (either elec, or mech) will be on the wrong side.
You probably can survive a few days with it swapped however.

This probably doesn't help since you're getting the whole seat reupholstered, but you can swap just the seatbacks.

Ditto on swapping the seatbacks, I did it on my old seats.

Non power passenger and driver side seat swaps are not a big deal. Your slider and seat back controls are reversed but everything bolts up no hassle, except (IIRC) maybe for one of the floor bolts on the rear of the slider. When the linen driver's seat bottom finally tore on my NA, I used passenger seat from my parts car for the duration of time until I swapped in lightweight Corbeaus.

they fit fine reversed, I already contemplated getting another passenger seat and running 2 of them to drop some weight, then decided to get race seats

What about the seat belt receiver? Doesn't that only bolt up on the left side of the passenger seat? Or are there bolt holes on both sides?
