OT: Is that a wee little bit of wax down in the fender next to the headlight cover? And here I thought your car was always perfect, LOL!
Greg, you ARE aware that your OCD is now considered a "medical condition", right?

I forgot to take my meds today but I'm hoping the beer will compensate. You really ought to try it at 5k feet sometime!

No, but the beer might...

On topic: I'm anxious to see if this catch can will really cut down on the oil in the intake tract.

i recently bought one of these, but i'm having second thoughts about installing it. mainly because you can't take it apart to see if there's any gunk caught inside (after a period of time).

also, a buddy had the lindsey crank breather, and when he installed the oil pressure relief valve incorrectly, resulting in coolant entering the crank, we were able to immediately tell what happened because coolant was coming out of the crank breather (due to it venting to atmosphere).

that got me thinking if this closed system was installed, coolant would have entered the intake/pistons, resulting in possible bent rods.

so i'm still debating wether i should install this or sell it.

I would install a vacuum pump of some sort running to a catch can venting to the atmosphere so there is no vapor whatsoever entering the intake and also keeps a consistent level of vacuum in the crankcase

drag racer's have been doing it for years

Saw this resurrected thread and realized that I hadn't posted any pics of how I mounted mine. I had some aluminum stock that I cut to fit, using the same design as Kevin. BTW, I drain it every couple of months, it doesn't collect a whole lot of volume but what's in there is pretty gunky.

As for "Seeing" what gunk is in there, the drain on the bottom opens up and the gunk drains out. In addition I wash mine out with hot soapy water every six months like the manufacturer recommends. Easy to do with it mounted up front.

Greg, nice job (as ever) on the install by the way.

Nicco, how about starting a new thread describing your modifications. Very nice workmanship. I am most curious about your coil set up and who's blow off valve is that and what controls it?
