Clicking Under Dash?
I have a very annoying clicking going on under my dash around the glove box area. I've read some old posts indicating that the ac controller could be the culprit. At $550 rebuilt from 944online I really hope that's not the problem.
I don't seem to just notice the problem if the ac is running. It seems to happen all the time. Anyone have ideas as to what this could be?

Do you have an ebc? Could be the solenoid actuating the boost control? If that's the case then there's no problems. I hear mine all the time.

You can get a brand new one from Paragon for $10 or so more than that.
There are two vacuum control solonoids for the ac system near the glove box, one controlls the heater valve and the other controlls the recirculation flaps.
It could be that they are shorting out, worse case would be a new ac heater unit.

injectors are quiet, the only way i can hear my 72lb injectors is to take some hose hold it to your ear and the other end to the injectors .
I have a similar clicking noise, it sounds like a relay clicking (maybe shorting). I can hear a similar sound when the aux fans come on.

Jake,
You and Tex should take a look at the factory wiring to and from the two resistors that control the low-high speed of the radiator fans. The resistors look like tan, silver dollar-sized, donuts and are located inside the cabin on the firewall behind the glovebox. As I recall, I removed my glovebox to gain easier access to the resistors and their mounting bracket.
I had a clicking from passenger's side as well and when I looked at the aforementioned wiring, it was frayed in a number of places [tight bends, at the connectors] exposing bare wire that, under vehicle loads [bumps, turns, accel, decel], allowed the wires to ground on the chassis in several places. In my case, the clicking was actually electrical arcing. Since splicing in new 12 ga wire and spade connectors [a year and a half ago], I've heard not one "click". Good luck.

I hear my heater solenoid go on and off at times. Try turning the temp control well above ambient and see it that causes it, then turn it back down etc. and see if you get a correlation. Not sure about the cure, it does not bother me enough to replace anything.

Yep -- heater solenoid. Mine does it too, more on hot days than cool -- even with the A/C, fan, etc. off. I keep the temperature control **** at about top dead center and I don't hear it, but if I've left it in a hotter or cooler position, it clicks.
