Default Went to the Dyno 413whp/419wtq

Well I finaly finished having my car tuned for now. Scott Gomes of Under Pressure Performance installed and tuned the Tec3r, I must say he really worked some magic.

This run was done at 22psi tapering to around 20psi. It was 100oct steet legal race gas from the pump, so technicaly you could call it pump gas.

My engine is a 2.8L stroker
Lindsey Racing stage 2 solid lifter head w/ 274 solid web cam
Turbonetics 60-1 hifi w/ stageV turbine wheel and .50a/r t4 turbine housing
Electromotive Tec3r

Numbers in title are uncorrected here a graphs for both corrected and uncorrected.

I will making a few small changes in the coming months to complete the system, I hope to make some small gains up top with these.

nice numbers, personally I think your turbo is a little undersized, I have that on my 2.5 (just a turbonetics similar sized turbine housing difference)... more should be had at that boost. The torque curve kinda dies quite early...

An ITB setup would help you out up top.

Yes the turbo is a little undersized, when I got it my #1 priority was quick spool up which it gets. Part of the torque dieing is the waste gate not holding the boost. Anotherthing thing is that 50lbs of torque are lost in the last 500rpm, I will rarely ever be taking it that high and actualy shift around 6800rpm most of the time. There are not to many dyno graphs that go to 7500rpm posted on this board.

On pump gas around 17psi on the street this turbo is amazing.

Nice results. Converting these ( SAE corrected ) numbers to flywheel hp and Newtonmeters gives roughly 462fwhp and 551 Nm. That's close to 997t, and it's heavier.
What's really impressive, 406 Nm ( 300 lb-ft ) between 3600-6600rpm. With one fixed wing turbo. 22PSI = 1,5bar.

Yes you must get some decent acceleration out of that tq curve.
Pete, have you fired up yours yet?

Excuse the newbie question but why is the graph so jagged compared to all the others I see? Just the dyno?

All curves are that jagged, most software uses a filter to smoothen the line.

NICE! agree 100% on smaller turbo choice. quick spool and good power in mid far preferred to having everything up top for multi use.

Until you own a car that does not come alive until 5,000rpm it is hard to comprehend how unpleasant, frustrating and disapointing it is to drive on the street. Excellent choice, I want a ride

Good stuff. I'm using a smaller turbo for my 3.0 build. My 2.5 car didn't have much till 4K and I didn't like it. The lag at the track was frustrating. You have a nice powerband. That car must be a blast to drive.

I had a larger turbo on the car befor, It did not make 19psi until 4500rpm, and it did not have good transiant response on the track bellow 5200rpm. I went the complete oposite spectrum with this turbo and was going keep the other one as well but ended up selling it.

Looks good. Nice power band. How do you like the solid lifters so far? How noisy are they?
