I will be interested to see how your bigger wheel and smaller housing works vs. my smaller wheel and bigger housing with the same displacement engine.

Have you got the boost plot handy? Would be good to see its spool... I still cant help thinking the turbo is choking. Just to add some Japanese compatison that everyone hates hehe, my mates honda B18 motor, all stock but some head work and low compression pistons and runs this exact same turbo but with a .63 turbine housing (its a turbo from Precision), it makes 430WHP at 19psi, its an 1800cc.

Will be good to see more 2.8's out there with more turbo choices! Incidently, I went from the replica #8 housing (I think thats around .56 from some calculation I remember), to the .63 housing and picked up torque everywhere...

are you talking about T3 housing though. While it is a very tight a/r. I think because of its overall size it is not that restrictive. I think the most restrictive part is the stage V wheel. I am going to do some research and see what a/r T3 housing housing flows the same as the .50a/r T4.

Good numbers, that turbo is not undersize, compressor wise. I'd say the turbo housing is small, the stage 5 is good for the 2.8L, but with the .50 housing is not suited to this set-up.

I would go for a 0.63 a/r housing not to sacrifice too much lag and keep the backpressure down. For power reasons, i would go bigger.

This is all my opinion and should not be used to start another turbo thread

I've searched and didn't find any of your own results. What kind of turbos have you tried and where the results?

I did post on the different turbo's i have used, technically it was the same turbo, since the compressor, blades, center section and turbine housings stayed the same, the turbine blades were played with.

Anyways, why the sudden interest Anders??? you tackled me with this question before, and here you are again.

I did mention in my first post on this thread to keep this on topic, if you have any questions for me, just shoot me a pm, it's two clicks away....

Why don't you post on a public forum about your vast experiences? You must be a true guru since your posts are all over the forum giving out advice.

My guess is that you are repeating other peoples statements without experience of your own to back it up. Wouldn't it be tragic if the statements regarding which turbo config is the best would be wrong. It would be good to see that the facts your present really are facts and not hot air like other claims from you have been.

The only hot air around here is you, you start tripping informative threads to pick on me,

Infact, why don't you start sharing YOURE experience for once??? im DYING to know.

I used this turbo, i like it, i played with it, now just get over you'reself would you? you always picked on me, and no i am not a guru, never claimed to be one, you want facts??? you're not getting any out of me, you really **** me off.

Seriously man, grow up and stop picking on me and my 'guru' turbo alright??

A stage 5 is really only necessary for more like well over 500+whp, regardless of displacement. Personally, I'd do something like a stage 3 and .82a/r T3 housing (the #10 is close in size), or if you have to have a T4 then maybe a .68 T4 housing. That would help with the torque dropping up top. A smaller turbine and slightly larger turbine housing will result in better spool and a better top-end curve IMO.
