I agree on Sikkens paint being of the highest quality, I used it on my alpine white 951 last year when I repainted the entire car. It took me around 6 weeks to do in my garage which included all the dis-assembley/re-assembley etc. I went with the single stage finish as was original from the factory. total cost was around 600 euro or about 800 dollars and many people who have seen the car in person have been very complimentary on the finish - It's glass smooth.

I'm in the process of repainting my alpine white car right now. I'm using DuPont Chroma base and Chroma clear. it is a base clear for ease of maintenance and future repainting. I also love the shine you can get out of it.
