Default Found someone with 996 Carrera simulator

While dreaming of leaving work I found someone with a 996 simulator who wanted to try playing w/ my 951 simulator. He gunned it in his simulated 2nd gear as did I, he then pulled ahead by about 2 lengths but pulled no more. We had the highway traffic version of the simulator in so the simulation ended in third gear. Its cool when other Porsche simulators are running .

I am chomping at the bit for the SFR exhaust download as well as the larger turbo download.

My 924 simulator killed a prelude simulation the other day...

and I downloaded a new clutch for my turbo simulator, so I've gotta season that before anymore simulated high performance driving.

I downloaded the new infinity G35 306hp virtual car on my PC 951 simulator version 21psi. it was incredible and the graphics were amazingly clear, so clear that I could see the driver face to face, the AI was also very advanced on the game since the g35 driver would interact with me and he even expressed admiration after several car lengths were inserted between him and me after a spirited 40-100mph run.

I went into my simulators options menu and set psi level to 17 on the sunoco 94 octane download. He started in front of me on the entrance ramp so I had to wait until he applied simulated acceleration. I was satisfied in holding the distance simulated between us.

As responsible Rennlisters, we do not engage in the barbaric act of street racing. As such, for entertainment we run simulations that compare our cars to others in realistic competitive scenarios.

Here is my private prayer for 2007...

Dear God,

Please delete all the posts/threads like "I beat a (insert your favorite car here) on the Public Roads, endangering my life - and all around me as I drove like an idiot, doing 100+ MPH on a public road......

All the "I beat some idiot in a (insert your favorite car here) in a road race..." has no place here.

If you want to "drive fast" - do it on the track - and get instruction for doing it "on the track". In short - it will save your car - and probably your life. Not to mention the lives of those who may be killed by you.

If you do take it to the track - you'll be a better driver for it.

How would I know?

I take it to the track - and instruct instructors, before they get in a car with you...

So - PLEASE NO MORE STREET RACING THREADS. Take those to the Honda Forum.

As an FYI - This is *not* a Honda Forum.

Have a wonderful 2007...

John D.
