Thats insane power! I doubt I would use that much on the circuit, maybe dragging, but 500-600WHP is heaps for the circuit racing. Anymore and Id probably have lots of cooling issues, and the drivetrain would take a huge beating and brakes would be really tested. I guess Ill see how those porsche control tyres work out and go from there... its still a road car 95% of the time.

the car is a volvo 240. or "looks like a 240" is more correct, tko600 dog box, ford 9" rear with lots of fancy suspension, sellholm knives, race suspension etc.

5-6k USD in AN connector and hoses alone, not many volvos running -16 on water and dry sump eh.

the car has so many funny sounds there is no need trying to diagnose where they are coming from

brakes isn't an issue as he got that from a GT2, and the fact he doesnt use them that much. car was only made for "useing tires" as owner says.

I know a guy who also has a nice Volvo 240. It's 1975 model with 350 Chevy small block, only about 450hp, but it's a real fun car, looks completely stock outside except real wide OEM style steel wheels on rear axle. Sadly it's not anylonger possible to build such a car here in Finland because the regulations we have currently. That Volvo has had V8 since 1982 and during that time it was allowed to build it.

Just weighted one, its 11kg. So heavier than the TE37, I would say size for size maybe 1-2kg heavier.

PS We are going to hump you at Suncorp tomorrow Even with our coach!

Yeah there are lighter wheels out there for sure... The volk are around 7kg each (depending on size), but at 4k for a set, they are not cheap. The Work Emotion was a good option at 2.3K a set.

I miss my Simmons OM 18's

Oh and yes nearing completion... just some welding to do and a couple of wires, then dismantle for ceramic coating. Then put it all together and dyno... my mate has nearly finished the big valve head and the cams profile. But thats stage 2

The OMs are a pain to clean though. I much prefer my FRs.
As for the rugby, well you never know. Nobody is winning the 3rd Tri-Nations game in a row when on tour, so last game was a massive aberration. You guys aren't invincible although I do rate your 5/8th.
