I have that flywheel. Didn't realize they'd gotten so expensive. Love mine.

Question:
What effect did this have on your car's performance? Specifically the throttle response from idle to about 2500-3000rpms in 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear? I have been debating getting an aluminum flywheel because I am conerned with adding unwanted rev up time. Your thoughts please.

I could tell immediately after I got mine in that the car was revving much faster. With the flywheel and the clutch, I lost about 12 lbs of rotating mass.

I felt a big difference, more pronounced in the lower gears. The throttle was more responsive and the engine revved quicker.

i don't have an aluminium flywheel, i have a kep 2 and a machined stock flywheel. the engine definitely revs quicker, but be aware that it bogs down a lot more on take-off, so you have to feather the clutch a lot more if you want to avoid that.

Any thought on Aluminium such as the one for sale versus machined stock one?

Why did you go that way rather than aluminium?

Thanks

i'd heard mixed reports about the fidanza actually, some ppl claiming that they can warp over time etc. and with the kep as well (which loses quite a lot of weight from the outside of the PP vs stock) i was a bit worried about losing *too* much weight from the driveline and making it a pain to drive on the street.

having had this setup for 2 years now, i'm perfectly happy with my choice. i think with the additional weight loss from an alu flywheel taking off would be a pain...i'm about at my limits as far as that goes .

but a lot of this depends on driving style, i don't feather the clutch much on take-off - usually when the clutch is fully released i'm at about 1-1.5k rpm lol.

EDIT: missed a word

Upgrading my clutch to the Spec flywheel/cup clutch/KEP pressure plate is one of the best things I've done to the car. Over two years on it now with absolutely no problems.

Is this any different than the Fidanza flywheel?

I don't know if the Fidanza is different. However, I have heard of some clearance issues with the Fidanza, but not with the SPEC.
