About the vibration, I thought about it - but it shouldn't be a problem. I will test it thouroughly first of course.......

Is the bore large enough to support the 6 signals? Laust had done some calcs awhile back and determined this was why Porsche went to two banjos on the later Turbo S manifold. Seeing as how several of these vac lines could control more vital functions (KLR, WG, EBC) do you see any issues with pressure differentials caused by them all relying on a single point vacuum source? Not questioning the setup, just wondering. I like the new design, another Sharkey first!

with my setup how it is I only have like 3 lines connected to the vacuum manifold FPR, BOV, EBC if you include the KLR banjo then 4

Well, the stock vacuum line is 2mm I.D. - which is .079

The hole I drilled in the manifold was almost .200, and I have a little more room if I wanted to make it a little bigger.

Oh yeah - since this thing is aluminum, what colors would everyone want when I get them anodized?

Daniel,

I think this will be a great product and something that will help clean up a lot of rennlisters' cars. I know that you said Laust's original design would be hard to do mass production of, but I would urge you to revisit this and see if you could find a way to make it fit flush against the intake manifold.. I think it looks much cleaner that way and close to stock.

Ahhh, Dan,

This is nowhere close to Laust's VM, I would avoid misrepresenting your manifold by attaching his name.

Uhhhh, ok - had to call it something yall would recognize. And I did make it clear it was redesigned.....whatever......

Figured I would come up with a name for it by the time it goes into production......

There shouldn't be any issues, as he does state in the title that it is "Re-designed."

Hey Dan, Looking good! How long will you test it before you sell it?

Don't know just yet - hopefully I can get some machine time soon to get the body blanks made. Then I have to make the air fittings, then I have to crossdrill/crosstap the holes on a secondary mill, then I have to anodize them.........whew........that's alot of work!

I am moving as fast as I can. Hopefully soon I will have enough volume to justify phasing out my dayjob and doing this fulltime..........

Just curious, if you phase out your day job, how will you make your parts? Contract your current employer for machine usage?

Hey Dan. Looks good.

Contrary to a few I much prefer this design to the laust manifold's home-made look.

As for anodizing - my preference wuld be NONE! is already aluminum, that would be my preferred finish. Folks could always polish.

question: is final product intention to use plastic nipples? or machine also?

I will be a testing guiene pig if you need one.

Would suggest four port and six port.
four port makes sense for the simple add of boost guage/ boost controller.

2bridges, I can always anodize them clear.........just keeps them from oxidizing.

As for the nipples, they will be machined out of hex brass so you can tighten them down with a deep socket.

They will all be six port, I will provide six nipples and two plugs - use them however you see fit. It's actually easier cheaper this way, even throwing in the extra plugs/nipples - I only have to write one set of programs......
