Actually Tim, this demonstrates what I've addressed many times here and that my idle is not smooth. Once I get this recording correctly, I'll send a copy to John for FQS setting suggestions and any other help he can offer.

I'll check it, but I did a minor jacket intrusion for a continuity test to verify the correct circuit to pin 21.

Yes - which wire on pin #21 did you use?
There are more than one.
You will use the green wire with black stripe, if you want it to work correctly.

Well - I have not seen their writeups, but I am sure they suggest to use the shielded coax cable.
This will also work, HOWEVER, it is not a good idea because many people get confused and use the shielding and others will neglect to repair the shielding etc.

Better to use the green/black wire and that's the end of it.

there was an old writeup- maybe Tom's- that said use the green wire- well after testing Five green wires i could not find continuity to #21- ends up it was the green/black wire- i told Tom and im sure he's corrected it by now. He said something about there is also a green wire on the KLR? maybe that you can use. Dunno.
