944J- It really depends on who's performing the swap, but figure around 10-12k plus the motor.

Jeff T- Man, do I dig your white 951! It really has a 930 vibe to it. Beautiful work

VR- Thanks, and good luck with your swap as well. Your car is going to be incredible!

I just want prices for parts.

Good luck with your swap. Call Mike Gokey from German preformance, he'll give you all the info you need.

To be clear. This is a guy with a 944 NA asking about making his car a turbo. Moreover he wants to do it for cheap. Hmmm....I don't think we've EVER seen a thread like that before. That hardly EVER happens.
It would take perhaps two total searches to have more info than you could ever need on this subject. The same holds true for the V8 subject, though you will have to wade through hundreds of Larts pics to get there. The additional issue isn't this thread particularly, but his threads in general. He never even attempts to find out on his own.
Seriously, there is a **** load of info from RL if you aren't too lazy to search for yourself. From that, you need only bring back the thread or pm the person that seemed to solve the problem. It's really that easy...but not if you are just too freaking lazy.

ok I couldnt resist
btw, I could make my car better than a turbo for cheap... I have located a used vitesse stage 2 entire engine for under $5k and my car I got for $550:

$550 944na
$4500 350 rwhp engine complete
$500 951 trans
-$1k for my complete engine
$950 complete 968 suspension
$750 wilwood 4 pistion big brake kit
(allready have koni yellows all 4 wheels)
(allready have 18" factory turbo twists)

$6250 total for 350rwhp street car with 1994 968 suspension

or

$5300 with 944 suspension

or I can go

$2100 for renegade ls1 v8 conversion kit
$2500 used ls1
$550 my car
$500 951 trans
$750 wilwood 4 pistion big brake kit
$950 968 supsension

$7350 for a v8 944

Im sure there will be plenty of little parts here and there like computers, and wires, etc.

Any thoughts?

Man that was a sweet video I love how the 951 sounded like a jet when it passed at the end. Keep in mind that a Z28 weighs ~500 lbs more than a 951.

and its a cabriolet corvette, even heavier... the ls(blank) is the more capable engine but the 944 engine fits easier into the car...

I think it would be fun to make a twin turbo v8 944...

next a 951 with a stock k-26, mbc, chips running 18psi vs c5, there is no weight advantage in this case because big John has a passanger plus his 300lbs of weight.

right click and save

here is another v8 encounter the same 951 vs a modded w6, Ls based firebird
