you really need to pick and choose what advice you actually listen to here, don't you?

The Kia idea is always a solid choice. A fall back you can say. Sexcellent advice if you ask me.

[QUOTE=jakery]The car is almost ready for the new turbo, i was tracing the turbo & engine mount oil lines to make a flange. Looks like modern art/QUOTE]

What are you trying to do with the oil line flanges. I think I might have the filter housing too, I have a couple but I need to check the MY on them. Pm if you still need one.

the mount on the bottom of the turbo doesn't match the oil mount on the engine mount arm, so i am making a metal gasket to make sure the two seal properly. Yay loctite.
I think i found a housing, but i'll let you know.

Plenty of things.

Wrapped my Exhaust/turbo & Painted with 2000 degree copper paint.

Some one Bred hate on my creeper.

Turbo fits great with the flange i made to fit the TO4E, there is no fitment issues thus far.

I did a rough assembly w/o heat sheilds and with double intake gaskets and the mainfold clears the turbo by 1.5 mm WOO HOO!

How do you like the color? i love it, took me a long time to pick it out. I wanted to make my car a touch unique.

thanks, -Jake

The flammable liquids are the fire hazard, not the wrap. If you are driving around in a car that soaks the wrap with fuel or oil, it's a piece of ****, FIX IT!

"looks good. but are you sure its ok to double up on intake gaskets?"

I am with you cory..... not on my car. I understand why one would do it, but this is not a workaround for me

I agree also. I used a file on the compressor housing and on the bolts on the underside of the throttle body, and made sure I had clearance even with no gaskets.

I wouldn't need to file, just countersink the throtle body return spring bolts.

But i think that vacuum elbow will hit too, that may be a bit of trouble.

There was a intake manifold spacer kit on evilbay for $116,
but i would be worried about sturtbrace clearence.

My stuff!!!

Jake, maybe you can get Hondata to make a run of their honda gaskets for 951's. You can space your stuff out a bit with 1 gasket, and though its not as relevant to turbo cars, maybe take advantage of the heat shielding effect it has. Their re-usable too, so you don't have to port match new gaskets to the ported head/manifold every time you pull the intake off.
