I also filed down on the vacuum elbow a little bit.. it doesn't take much!
I also found that a 1/16" aluminum shim between the intake and TB created just enough room to seat the intake correctly.
Looking good Jake!

If you stick your head under your hood AND under your car once a week then go ahead and wrap it. By under your car, I mean on a lift...or up on stands such that you can see the crossover pipe completely.
I'm not repeating a story about a 951 whose exhaust wrap caught on fire. I'm telling you about mine that did. There are several areas where oil can leak onto that crossover pipe and you will NOT see it from above. A seal can go bad fairly quickly. Are you going to pull over and tow your car the moment you think you smell oil burning? 5 hours from home? Sure you are. The benefit of wrapping is not even enough to feel it, but the penalty sure can be. Ceramic the exhaust and be done with it...or leave it alone.
You've been warned. It may never happen to you....but if it does and you are far from a fire extinguisher....you get to watch as she burns to the ground after the flame melts your fuel line. Luckily, I always have a 5lb with me....even when not on the track.

That's a rosy picture you paint Bill and I have to agree, but Jake has a little bit of an idea what's going on here...
Jake, 20yo heat baked electricals need to be replaced with new parts. My turbo pump wasn't coming on so I tested it <open windings>, ~$170 later I found that I could wiggle the top of the temp switch and make the new pump run, both were bad. Hard to say how many miles were put on by the PO since they worked.

Thanks for the warnings bill. I've already installed a fire extinguisher on my roll bar, and i'll be checking for leaks now and again.
Here are my new rims. a nickle to anyone who can guess who's car they came off of. (yes i know i have to paint the rotor caps) Once i get my bilsteins on there i can lower the ride height so the wheels sit in the wheel wells better.
