Default Bolt specs

What are the specs for the waterpump bolts? Mine are rusted badly and i want to order stainless replacements. tia

You need seven M6 x 35 and one M6 x 70. Torque is 8 Nm or 6 ftlb w/ Loctite 270.

i keep finding bolts that are m6x1.0x35, what does the 1.0 stand for?

Thread pitch. I think 1.0 is pretty common for M6 bolts.

Are you sure? I was thinking its the space between the head and the thread? The original water pump bolts are threaded all the way.

Yes.

What you're thinking of is called "partially threaded" or "fully threaded".

Partially refers to the fact that there is a part of the bolt under the head that is not threaded.

Fully means that the threads go all the way to the head of the bolt.

Wanna look at bolts? Visit McMaster-Carr and type BOLT in the seach field. There you can look at the different configuations available.

Getting the SS bolts is not the problem, its the studs that I haven't been able to find...Bruce
