+? on the pics with the car on a hoist. Like to see where the exhaust goes?
Having the turbo on that side of the car seems to involve more hassles and to save what, probably imperceptible spoolup time? Still yours looks incredibly neat so that's why plenty of people would love to see what's going on from under there. Very nice package Solo!

I was told the car has a Porsche Motorsports transmission. A shop tells me the fins look bigger than on a stock 968 tranny. Has anyone seen a 968 motorsports tranny before and confirm that is what this is? The car definately has an LSD and I am told the codes for the car indicate that it didn't come that way from the factory.

Great to finally see these photos Solo. Very interesting to see where the turbo is located. Not sure if we could do that on our RHD cars? Perhaps Rod could chime in here?

On the tranny, lets see what the experts say.

Oh, how do you like your KWs?

It has been put in that position before with rhd cars, the oil drain is a bigger issue. Good solution with the wastegate location.

Thanks for sharing. Always interesting seeing setups that differ from the norm.
Perhaps it's a 968 Turbo S/RS gearbox?

That turbo set up is realy a great way to go I realy wish i had gone that way but i had to go look just now the steering on a RHD would be in the inlet's way the other nice alternative mounting is forward where the alternator or AC compressor lived and then use 928 left hand headers to make a pipe cross over the front of the engine .
that transaxle looks the same as mine ..

Thanks for posting those pictures, this is an interesting turbo set up.

What are the codes on the transmission, can't see them clearly.

Back when he had it, Darcy told me it had an 'audi racing gearbox' in it. He couldn't elaborate. He has also been known to exaggerate stories a bit, so, grain of salt.

FYI, the fins are exactly the same size as stock. Here is a pic of my stock tranny:
