Interior shots.....sorry for the poor photography. It's not much different from stock I'm afraid. Oh, and I haven't cleaned it recently. It really could use a good vacuuming and polishing.

Based on the intercooler piping, is the turbo on the 'hot side'? Or was it rerouted back under the engine?
Inquiring minds want to know...
Do you have pics of the underside of the engine compartment? What size Turbonetics are you running? GT-K 450?
Thanks JimB

Cool Car indeed! Hopefully we'll have the Namao track again this year and you get a chance to bring it up.
Every time we think this icy grip of winter is letting go it goes and gets freakin' cold again! Though you guys have it a little better down there

The turbo is low on the passenger side - or "Hot Side" as you say - and hangs off the headers. They used a weaver pump system to get the oil back up into the oil pan since the turbo sits lower than the engine. The wastegate tucks up towards the drivers side of the car. It all fits rather nicely. I don't have any pictures because I haven't had the car up on a lift recently.

No it's a one of a kind built by Kelly Moss Racing. I don't think it shares anything with the factory cars other than it's a 968. The factory turbos I believe used an 8 valve head, had the turbo in the same position as the 944 and the intercooler in the front nose. This car uses the 16 valve head, turbo is on the passenger side and the intercooler is more of a V-Mount than a front nose mount.
The only info I have on the car is from the Excellence article posted on page 1 of this thread. The seats are an aftermarket item and not stock in any car that I am aware of. I was told by KMR that the owner put these seats in and removed a set of Club Sport seats I would have loved to keep the Club Sport seats.

Thanks!
That's what I thought. I am prepping to turbo my 968 and have been wrestling with the cold/hot side alternatives.
The benefits of the hotside seem to really out weight the coldside. Pluses: Faster spool, more direct IC connections, you maintain 968 intake manifold, less fabbed parts needed. Neg: you need a oil pump.
I am considing a turbo oil pump made by RB Racing that has Metal pump gears. Electric motor rather than belt drive. Appears to be made specifically for turbo oil return.
I'd be interested in your pics from the underside....(did I say that right?) Turbo pics.
Thanks JimB
ps. Great looking car! Not many cars can pull off being 'yellow' so well!

Finally got around to making a short video of the car running. I picked some place remote and safe to do some quick pulls. I was only on boost map 2 at the time. I still haven't tried the 3rd map. Need better fuel for that one.

Thanks guys. Driving the car it seems to sound different than in the video - a bit higher pitched. I wouldn't say the car is absolutely perfect since I still like the looks of the original 968 Turbo's with the 3.6 wheels but I appreciate the sentiment.
I got a whole bunch of suspension goodies to put into it to make it that much better. I'll be sure to update when that is completed.

Solo, great looking car. What size wheels are you running?
I cant wait to start a thread on my 3.2 Lt turbo. The build should be complete around mid Sept.
Cheers, Joel

The wheels are 18x9 up front with 265/35/18's and the rears are 18x11 with 315/35/18's. The car originally came with 325's in the rear but I was unable to find a 325/30/18. It seems like nobody makes them any more.
