Default cigarette lighter

When I got my car I didn't know it was a cigarette lighter since it wouldn't come out. How the hell do you take it out. Mine will not budge and I've tried letting it charge and afterwards it still wouldn't come out. It has got to be super glued in.

Now where is that hammer I've been looking for?

I'd pull the trim piece off and then you should be able to pry it out with a screwdriver (there are open slots on the back). Obviously make sure you disconnect the wires to it first - I've blown a fuse or two that way. If nothing else you should be able to pull the entire thing out and replace it if neccesary.

Incase you don't know how to, the trim piece has one screw on the door end covered by the end cap on the dash, two screws covered by that blank tab by the vent, one behind the climate control sensor cover (that twists out), and two screws on the end with the climate control. You'll have to unscrew the climate control as well because it covers the tabs for the trim piece.

This will make a nice rainy day project for sunday, along with a few other annoyances of course. I had a feeling I was going to have to remove the plastic trim.

It's really not to big of a chore, prolly 30 min. The plastic comes right out after ya unscrew a couple things, just be mindful not to crack it...

Yeah. When you remove the trim, be mindful that you don't just pull on it after you get it disconnected. there is a piece that goes under the temp. controls, that you really do need to remove.

As for the lighter part, I have a spare socket that you can have for the cost of shipping. it'll prolly hold your lighter in place pretty well.
