Driftomagnfico 600 WHP, 10,000 RPM Nissan Thread
#32
We still haven't confirmed if Drifto's car has a RB26DETT. Heck, we don't even know for sure what model of Nissan he owns. You have to admit that the car in your video would be a very rare commodity. I've seen purely drag racing cars - ones that are specially built for the 1/4 mile - that make big power and rpms but they are not daily drivers and definate not something you would drive across America (or Australia) and expect to have no problems. If Drifto's car does what he says it does more power to him. But so far he's offered nothing to back it up while at the same time he posts here and berates, belittles and disrespects anyone and everyone.

Thingo: Your picture is of the Nismo gauge set - not the stock Skyline gauges. It even says Nimso on them.
Just to be clear - I am not slagging Skylines or Nissans in general. I admire many different cars and would love to have a GT-R in my driveway - if it were left hand drive. The whole point is not if it can be done but did Drifto do it or have it done. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask to learn more about his car - especially since he has posted about it numerous times.

So you think because the gauge says 'nismo' that they don't rev to 9000?
Thay are not exactly a limited production model, finding an engine would not be exactly difficult.
I think it is clear that Nissans are not your specialty subject

I think this is a great thread topic. Although he might not be the politest user, I have no reason to doubt his car/engine/knowledge and I'd really like to hear details about it

Awww you guys are too much! 3 Page thread all for me?
Too bad you haven't read my previous postings else you'd already know what I am running. Here is a more updated list after my last re-build.

"Here is the only dyno I have of the car on my computer. It is at 12 PSI, the engine has produced more, and it's peak RPM is 10700. I am leary of taking it higher due in part to drivetrain harmonics and bearing longevity."
I did end up having issues with bearing longevity even with a rather cool oil temp. Local oil temp at the mains and rods were getting warm. Some block adjustments yielded better results (chamfering, etc.)
Here is the dyno that I posted before. It is at 12 PSI.
Those GTP cars were running SOHC VG30ET's hardly a comparison considering the advancements in technology Nissan has made since in cylinder head design and overall effectiveness. My class engines have been ran in racing since the early 90's from BTCC, SE-R Cup, JGTC, etc.
For those of you living in the past while the rest of the world passes you by. Here is what a SR20DET is capable of. This goes to show you that what I have is nothing spectacular in my community.
Mazworx 1000whp SR20DET / T88 Turbo / Nitrous
MadTech (Swedes) 885 BHP SR20DET / GT40R?
Rhombus Tuning 669whp SR20DET / T66
Stock Piston / Rod / Crank Numbers Below
Secret Services (Scott Avoy) 539whp SR20DET / GT3040R
Phase2 Motortrend 526whp SR20DET / T04E-T3 Link

Those dynos are of the recent SR big power producers. The Maxworx car runs well in the single digits.
If you don't think sufficient I can post the numerous 700+whp Japanese built SR22DET's, and about Maxworx's new SR25DET (yes. a 2.5L), the list can go on.

Drifto no one doubts what the japenese motors can do - just as to whether or not you actually had what you were bragging about is all.
Nice car, nice motor etc. just stop the malicious ball busting that everyone knows isn't meant as "funny" on other peoples threads. Sound good? Thanks.
