Don't know the numbers, but i have seen 968 trans under 951 with working speedometer which was done by using Audi parts. I suppose if you can find ETKA (VAG PET) you can find out the part numbers. For some reason my ETKA does not work currently.

You need 928 618 118 00, bosch 0 265 103 039, (as listed on the PET)I picked one up on ebay, the PET show the parts required for replacement, which may not be the original part. Works perfectly, have had it in for a few months.

Thanks Rod
Thanks for the info - I found a 968 unit in Germany two weeks ago, we fitted it yesterday and the speedometer finally works !

Thom, can you put up a list of the parts you used to make the speedo work? I'm assuming you used the Audi parts, correct?

To make the speedo work the 968 ABS unit and the 968 G16 relay are the parts required, as posted earlier in this thread - all good old used Porsche parts

sorry for posting again, but I've never gotten an answer,

the 01E is a quite expensive box to buy with LSD and all if it has "porsche" on it.. soo.

has anyone tried the AUDI 01E from the FWD cars? the A8 even has a cooling loop on its tranny and is very cheap. has anyone got access to a porsche and an audibox and can check the differences?

it would be a great new source for 6 speeds for our cars.
