Nice snag Guns!
On the issue of lines, what most full race applications do is run the Aeroquip style lines on the pressure (top) side, and leave a slip fit on the bottom. The sources I pm'd you with are a great place to get one from. Usually a -20 with ends will run you less than $20. All you need to do is get a -20 male fitting welded in place of the top fitting.

Thanks diago, I was talking with Chris about pipes, I think we'll end up with a mandrel bent aluminum pipe and silicone connectors due to the bends we'll need to be making.

The oil will have all stainless lines for sure though

That will work great.
I was going to use that gold foil myself. I was going to put it on the engine side of the heat shield that protects the master cylinder and reservoir. I'm also fabricating a custom air box that I'll use it on.

Yeah, Chris just wants to use it on the head shields (especially on the one that protects the brake thingy and such) and a few other spots, but of course I'll over indulge. I don't know if I posted it here or not, but its 2 bucks cheaper per unit of issue than CDOC. The C&R guys are great.

Guns, what are you doing re your intercooler? SFR has one that goes in front of the normal radiator and their replacement oil cooler goes where the stock i/c was. I was going to go with these but I am getting a totally custom one made up out here by an artist known as 'Plazmaman'...
Check out this bad boys work http://www.plazmaman.com/

I'm getting the SFR IC & oil cooler (the first oil cooler is part of a two stage cool down which will reduce temps drastically for enduro racing). The SFR IC will be custom sized for my application but will drop down over and in front of the radiator and take up a large amount of space.

Sounds really thorough. Should provide more than enough cooling.

I'm hoping so. BTW I just decided to go without a muffler and just use the straight pipe approach (oval pipe exiting on passenger side about midway down) it should sound sick

Wow. I don't think you're going to need the extra oil cooler. The exchanger is extremely efficient. But hey, Chris knows his stuff.

Default PARTS!!

Okay, so the front end and single piece front end came in for their photo shoot before getting all prepped up and such. The quality is obviously race quality (no knock to GT here) and the guys at the shop have vowed to make these parts perfect. Some of you may scoff and ho-hum about it, but it is possible with a ton of effort. The task these guys have undertaken is enormous but they have done so with confidence and pride in their past works. I have faith that I will be amazed.

The bottom slits on the stock 951 nose will be opend up (dividing piece will be removed) and the 50mm hellas will be put where the turn signals go (smaller turn signals will be installed). The lights and such will be attached to the frame so when the front comes off nothing else comes with it. The lights will also be retracted slightly as to keep in theme with the #39 GTR i'm trying to recreate with slight artistic deviations.

The gas cap also stole some of the spot light - here's what it looks like in daylight, i'm almost lost for words its just so beautiful!

Enjoy guys.

Coming along !

No worries. If you got guys that are good with glass work I have no doubt finish will turn out. Have personally see a few glass bodies (non P car) - and the out of box finish was horrible, with good body guys and A TON of effort they turn out

So I suspect you are going to have some lightweight frame structure in the front end for rigidity?
