Musche's on this one. Go out and do a DE session, park your steed and then come back, say, 20 minutes later. Everything ahead of the A pillar is still cooking! At speed we have all these clever little tricks to fight heat build up...from the design of the snout and batwings themselves to the front brake air diverters on the control arms.

But as soon as the car stops, my bet would be temps rise for some time. Try touching a front wheel Thus, I'm pretty sure that logic dictates you will enjoy longer life of your caster blocks if there is an aluminum barrier between them and the exhaust pipes. Again, why would the factory go to the trouble of fabricating a fairly complex stamping and mounting system for the back engine tray if they didn't have the same concern?

i have two undertrays - neither one is on. Problem is if i develop a leak, it takes an extra week or two for the stuff to build up on top of the tray and then dump on my floor. With no tray i can spot a leak right away and cure it. I may run it anyway after i get my AIR splitter on there.

My question is where are all these trays going? Of the half dozen or so cars we parted last year, only one of them had one of the trays on it. Are people eating these things, service shops not putting them back on.

Me thinks they go the same place the tool kits and the other socks go!

I run them on my street and track cars.

I believe radiator performance is improved with the undertrays on.
