Default Can I bump out hail damage?

Hey all, I was looking at my car today in the sun and the minor hail damage looks terrible in the bright sun....

Can I bump these out? Or am I going to have to get a new hood all together?

I have tried to post pics and failed numerous times, so if I figure it out I'll make sure I post them asap!

If they are minor they can probably be rubbed out, but I don't know how well you can do it. You need to be careful that you don't pop them out to far and make outties.

There are places, like the dent wizards, that can do hail damage.

FYI, they are in the hood and a couple in the roof, does that change anything?

I had the same problem. Drove thru a hail storm in New Mexico! Damn thing followed me, but anyways...Some dents on my car stretched the metal a little bit, but you can get them fixed. My car just got repainted, and when they did, they took every dent out of the car. Some required just a little bit of filler, but not much.

They will have to get to the backside of the panel to push them out. Around here pdr goes about 50 to 80 bucks per panel. For severe hail damage you can figure 10-15 bucks per ding so at some point it makes more sense to repair/replace and refinish. Best thing to do is get an estimate. Hope this helps.

I don't think that's the job for me...I plan to use it as a DD for about a year, while doing some "minor" upgrades/maintanance along the way..

When I grad. college (1yr) I will either sell, or garage it and restore and/or track prep it!

oh yeah, and forgot to add that insurance covered a pretty big chunk of the hail damage! But I'm not sure if that'll work for you seeing as the dents were already in the car, no?
