Question AEM Wideband Question

For those of you that have this gauge (UEGO Controller), did you just route the white wire from the gauge to go into the DME?
Thanks!

Don't have an AEM, but I wired my 0-1volt narrowband wire to the DME and 0-5v line to the piggyback. A 5v. signal will confuse the DME. Not sure if the AEM has both narrow and wideband output.

No. The DME can't make use of the signal on the white wire (0-5 volt analog). You can use the signal as an input to a datalogger to log A/F ratio. That's what I use it for.

So I still have to use the regular O2 sensor for the DME input? I was hoping to use the sensor that came with the gauge...

Did it come with a bung you can weld in? I've heard that AEM has pretty good forums and you might be able to find a better answer there. Otherwise, return it and get an Innovate.

No - you need both.
You CANNOT put the wideband in the factory narrow position, AND
the simulated narrowband signal from the wideband is not as fast as the true narrow sensor signal.

It depends on the controller: there are some controllers that can simulate 0-1v NB output as fast as needed for stock ECU.

As special tool stated, stick with the Porsche narrowband in the stock location even if you get a simulated narrow band signal from the controller.
The wideband should be downstream of the turbo near starter. Lots of posts on the subject and David Floyd has a very nice picture of a good location for he WB.
