I would also like to throw in Keke Rosberg as one of the most talented drivers and great to watch. Also Alan Jones was an underrated champion.

schumi also put people into the wall on occasions. I think he and Senna are close but Senna just clinches it, anyone else remember the quali where Senna spun and crossed the line backwards as he reckoned (correctly) it would make him a few tenths?

When a chanpionship is on the line, it brings the best and sometimes the worse out of people. I gess went you are short of machinery or talent, that seems like the only way to win the title.

AL

I disagree with you here. The Benneton B194 was a very competitive chassis, class of the field in terms of coping with the new rules banning active suspension, etc. Unfortunately, it was also very underpowered with the Ford engine. There was also a lot of "cheating" going on, traction control and other driver aids software that they couldn't prove it was used. Not to mention the faster refueling from removal of the filters in the fuel rigs.

The B195, which switched to Renault power, fixed the power problems. Aerodynamics was mostly carried over from the B194 because it was THAT good. Assuming there was no cheating in 94, this car should've run away from everything else out there in 95. MS was about the same in terms of competitiveness in this car... which is why to this day I firmly believe Benneton got lucky in '94 when all the cheating complaints were dropped.
