Question Whats happened to Broadfoot!!!!

I have a dilema!?!

I've just purchased a set of 18inch aftermarket speedline forged wheels which were designed to fit a 993 however the owner never used them so I brought them off him and they look great but I have 2 problems.

First problem... The wheels have the wrong offset (two negative for standard car) but this is not a problem as I want to install the Broadfoot GT2 style 951 FRP arches which will take care of that as fitted to 'guns951' which I am a big fan of but I am having problems contacting Broadfoot to place my order and there website is down - I could do with there telephone number please.

Second problem... The front hub locators are a different size to that of a 87+ 951 so does anybody know how easy it is to fit 993 front hubs and rotors as this is my only option.

May thanks in advance, Mark S.

S4!T... thats bad news!?!

So does anybody still do the arch kit or any broadfoot kits for that matter, or am I going to have to look at the GT-racing options instead?

The company was owned by him and his wife. They just kind of gave up. They had a couple of law suits against customers that screwed them.

Both www.gt-racing.com and www.americaninternationalracing.com have 968 flares. I always assumed that's what the Broadfoot ones were.

Jesse... I'm very sad to here that and I must admit I do remember around summer time that broadfoot were selling alot of there stuff on good old Ebay so I guess that was there clearance.

I purchased a set of Bilstein Escort Cup's from them last november and they took 3 months to arrive so was sceptical about buying from them again but I WANT THAT KIT

No offense to him and his wife, but I had a feeling that all these years they had bad business practices. I called a few times months and months ago, but didn't get thru. What ashame, but it appears another one bites the dust.

future: For what it's worth, try contacting Lindsey Racing. They were a selling a lot of his parts, maybe they can help you.

Brian you are a God Send...

I have never heard of www.americaninternationalracing.com and there product is far better suited to my project as I'm doing a 968 rear end conversion at the moment... See picture attached.

I have also heard from several other people that the Broadfoot service was not up to standard... A great shame as they had alot to offer us all...

I will continue the 968 rear end conversion when the project is finished which should be 2 weeks so expect to see a full write up then.

Hi Jesse

No it is not... It is an original 968 bumper which purchased for £56.00 on ebay in the UK (BARGIN)!

I do not like the aftermarket kits that I have allready seen offered as they do not fit the standard exhaust and also the rear tow eye is in the wrong place.

We are making a FRP copy with the mods and alterations you can see to rectify the current fitting problem. Yes this does fit exactly over the original bumper so fitting will be easy.

The mould is now finished and I will be pulling the first bumper out later this week.

The pictures above just show the original 968 bumper which I have cut and moded to fit exactly as it would if porsche made it for the 944 & 951.

Yes this is a direct bolt on product.

The only modifications you will need to do is grind (cut) away the original mounting holes from your standard 951 (944) rear light mounting brackets.

Not only that... You can also keep your standard exhaust and also use your standard tow eye which is in a different place for the original 968.

I have made the exhaust aperture wider on this conversion because I know many people are using aftermarket exhaust systems so this will fit all products including twin tail pipe exit systems.

You will notice that on the original 968, the exhaust exits further to the right which costs additional money for an new custom exhaust but not in this case.

This rear bumper works for both UK and international cars so no problems to address.

I’ll keep you all posted on the progress as the product is near completion including the 968 side skirts as well.

Best regards, Mark Shepherd

Customers that screwed them? from what I've heard, that statement sounds 180 degrees out.
