The volume potentiometer on the stereo unit is a bit dirty. A buddy of mine in the electronics field says he can clean it. I need to check the suspension on all the speakers too.

You have a very nice car there. Any plans for it?

I replaced my equalizer and head unit for a higher-end Alpine using the stock 10 speaker system and amp. This gave a great improvement in sound quality and volume than stock, but I am not that fussy about audio things. I purchased a 1 year leftover new high-end head unit for about 1/2 retail. The downside is it isn't stock anymore.

Return it to totally stock condition, or at leas stock looking at first glance. All this requires is the original hose assy for the line coming from banjo bolt. The LBE needs to go. I'll trade anyone that has the original assy for my LBE and hose assy that has been modified.

It sucks, but it's original. Original is where it stays. Besides, with my limited hearing capacity (try flying in HH-53's for a few years), it doesn't make much of a difference.

It was nice meeting you Chris. You have a sweet *** car there! Next to an 86 time capsule 951 with 7k miles on it, that is by far the cleanest 951 I have seen in many, many years.

Congrats on the purchase. Keep us posted with pics.

Are we just posting random pictures in SeaCay's thread now, lol?

I should put up pics of my old S2 and have folks guess the mileage. It will be shocking.

Do you guys remember this one? How can you forget it? This was the most stunning 951s I've ever seen, almost bought it too. It's ashame now that it's totaled and gone to 951 parts heaven.

I don't need pics, I've seen it. Heck, I touched it

But while we are waiting . . .care to guess?

edit: had to shrink to fit under file size limit and some quality suffered, oh well
