Any guesses as to why all three auctions were pulled early?

GOBOGIE: I'll surely reply if I hear anything. This car needs to be sold to me before I get a wild hair and buy a 911...

Something must be wrong with the seller if all his auctions were pulled. Hot items??

Quite possible. I did ask the seller a question on build codes. Seller provided me with a list of codes that would be usually seen on this car, so I have to assume they had the car in their possesion. Pulled the "Autocheck" on it, and all seemed copasetic. Who knows at this point?

It would be great to see that car go to a rennlister. If ebay pulled all his auctions, however, they must have a reason.

I can't see it! Anybody have another link to it?! I thought I had THE nicest black on black around...got to see my competition. Was it stock? If it was, I already won...and the factory couldn't get paint as nice as mine...

From my communication with the seller, it was bone stock with the exception of drilled rotors (OEM rotors were in boxes), and 18" wheels (the forged club sports were also going to be sold with the car). eBay does not have the item listed. I still have the item number, and a direct link to the auction in a reply email from the seller, both are useless now. It's early but I still haven't heard from the seller.

Interestingly, I bought it from a guy named Rex Ecoff. He said he collected this car after he retired from racing the 944 turbos because he enjoyed them so much. Told me when the turbo was initially developed, seven went to north America, each with a Porsche mechanic. Ecoff got two of them and said GM developed a car to compete against the turbo. Consistently, GM won on courses with more straights and the turbo won courses with more turns.
Amazing to see that you paid so much in the U.S. for a stock car. It's good for all of us of course and so long as you're happy as well. What was the car GM raced against the 951?

The asking price was 30k. After negotiating, I did think I was overpaying to some degree, but I was in the market for sometime, looking for a near perfect factory low miles S, and this one came along. I've never regretted paying a little more for this car. Hell it wasn't much more than a new Honda would have cost. After freshening the car up, it really was like new. It wasn't even broken in yet. The drive train was still tight and stiff, the windshield was perfectly clear... After spending some time looking, I don't think a wrench except for an oil change had ever been on the car. Todays market is starting to reflect prices like this as availability dwindles even more. It won't surprise me in the not too far future, for low low miles concourse cars to sell for original sticker price. I think the sticker on mine was 46k.

I don't know what Gm prepared to race against the new 944 turbo, but obviously the 951 challenged GM. I do remember Ecoff telling me that GM always won on more straights, and the turbo always won on more curves. It just depended on the track. I have often thought it was a vette. Look at what they finally did with a transaxle. Maybe they learned something? I wish I had talked more with the Ecoff, but I had made a hasty trip to indianapolis to pickup the car and trailer it back.

Wow, that's a great price! I just sold mine today for $18,000. Mine was an 86 with 33K miles. I'm still debating on what I should get next...
