Wash the damn thing and post some pics!!! Here is a repost but when my brother-in-law picked up his 87 low mileage one, paid premo price, it drove great too and man what a nice car. Congrats on the purchase, some of those low mile cars feel almost new.

It really was. He did replace the shift boot when he got home. The carpet in that car, it still had the little shiny things in the loops, just like showroom. Can't wait to see what yours looks like.

Its okay to be an attention ***** when you score what you just got

I remember when you first showed that car. It was and still is a beautiful car.

The black car is clean, very clean, so clean in fact that I flew up to Maryland on Thursday to look it over. Nice condition in person, very nice in fact, so nice that I actually drove the thing home after my visit...

Chris Prack saw it on Friday when I went to say "Hi" to him and look at some of the wicked armament in his shop. Judging by the work I saw there, I'd recommend his services to any rennlister. Thanks for taking the time to say "Hi" Chris!

The drive home showed a very few electrical gremlins, nothing that wouldn't be expected of a 17 year old car. The engine sings like a dream; suspension, brakes, body, interior, paint, etc are all in top shape.

Plenty of pics to follow after she gets a real good bath.

I saw the car too on Friday (at shop with Chris). Very nice looking '89. Cleanest and most original looking 951 motor I've ever seen. Looked like it came right from the factory, except for that LBE. Paint and body very good/excellent for a 17 year old black car. Interior well kept too.

Fix those sunroof gears already though. I'm guessing the top didn't fly off on you during the trip

Nice to meet you SeaCay, sorry, but I forget your real name

Mike:

Did a temp fix on the sunroof, need to order some new gears as there were a couple of teeth missing from one. Paragon to the rescue. At least it's sitting flush now.

SeaCay = CK = Chris Kelly

BTW, nice to meet you too and congratulations on winning your last race at VIR!!!!!

Wow. Just finished working in the garage for about 5 hours trying to square away my benches, storage racks, generator, pressure washer, etc, etc, etc so I could get both 951's in there. It's a tight squeeze, but the black beauty will never again have to spend the night alone in the dark. Now that that very important item of business has been completed (until I move some more stuff around trying to find more space) I'll be able to get some pictures ASAP.

Another item on my agenda: She doesn't have a name yet, nor a personalized license plate. Thoughts?
