i dont think there is any restriction at all.

to make a pipe up you need 2x 90 degree mandrel bends. cut the first 90 degree in half, turn it around and weld it on. then weld the 90 degree straight onto that. and there you go. i use 304 stainless, and use 316 stainless rods. that way there is no corrosion.

ehall, its not low, i have a expansion tank in the rear of my fender, just behind the carbon canistor. i find that when the car gets really hot, ie at the track, the coolant will over flow out of the overflow line below the coolant cap. so i extended that line into an overflow bottle. when it gets hot it purges coolant to the bottle, then when it cools down it sucks it back in. works a treat. we have a few other track 951 that we have dont this too. we also do it to a lot of cars that sit in city traffic.

Okay. I'm going to need some pics of this extra bottle. I live in a very hot climate and do a ton of stop and go city driving. This would be something I'd really like to consider. Thanks for the info. E

Jacksonville isn't hot you are just a whiner. LOL.

I need to get a bigger spinny like that. My car is too slow. Particularly when it doesn't have an engine.

its pretty simple to make yourself, just get a 1.5litre container, such as a plastic laundry softerner container. you will also need some small diameter hose(you can see the hose i use in the 4th pic. it is hanging over the guard) so that it is a tight fit in the inside of the overflow tube line.

now cut a hole in the lid of the container so that the hose is a snug fit and feed the hose through til it touches the bottom of the container. i now get a stick of welding brass and 3 small zip ties cut the brass stick so that it fits inside the container with the lid on. now zip tie the hose to the brass stick and put the lid on the bottle. this helps keeping the hose at the bottom of the bottle. and just fit it up behind the carbon canister. ive had mine in for a few years and it works great.

i will take some pictures because you may not be able to picture what i am sayin.

Kiss my big white *** gator boy! You drive all of twelve minutes to traverse the entire civilization ( and I use that term VERY LOOSELY) that is Gainesville, and you are not even 100 miles South of here, so you have NO IDEA how bad the traffic is here in the third fastest growing city in the country! ( which ofcourse means that it is moving time!)

BTW your car is too slow because you still have it in a bajillioin pieces!
The spinny thing is in your head!

The only time I've had trouble with coolant overflow my pressure cap was going bad. After replacing the cap, overflow gone.
