Default Vitesse owners, would love to hear from you.

Having a discussion on 968.net where a vendor does not believe that Vitesse chips can make their claimed hp. If you are an owner of one of these chips, I would appreciate if you could set the record straight, be it that its true or its not possible.
Here is the link http://65.61.16.109/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=12714

Thanks.

I'll be right there Raj. I am a very good candidate to validate VR products.

I just glanced at the link you provided, if I understand the thread correctly, they are disputing John's 15.5psi dyno chart? Or saying it is not stock components?

Either way, while I've never used John's products, I can attest to the fact that chips can indeed provide those numbers and I believe his dyno charts are in fact real.

You 968 guys....

Well, now they are claiming that the numbers can be fudged and questioning the claims. I guess its good to know that few vendors CAN get those kind of numbers and for a lot less than $2k.
BTW, the vendor who questioned this is Pete from RSbarn.
Regards.

Well I'll just say this, I know Vitesse uses only dyno charts supplied by customers to post, and the customer has nothing to gain by fudging the numbers, so you might want to toss that little bit of info to them as well.

Well, I just added my post. They can believe it or not. Sorry I dont have "empirical" data, but Im not a vendor trying to sell. Just a very, very happy customer with all of the VR products. So there you go Raj.

Funny thread, thank you Raj for pointing it out. Perhaps if someone takes the time to investigate, before giving an opinion, it will be a bit more valuable. If the guy commenting and bashing the dyno runs knows that all of the dyno runs are sent to us by our customers, then he may think twice. There is a reason why we post the dyno runs as sent by the customers, we don't want anyone to accuse us of fudging the results... Any other vendor doing this? I guess all of our customers are fudging the dyno results LOL..

Raj, you know me. We have VR software in the track car. I wish I had the first dyno for your "vendor", I'll continue to look but I can't find it on the computer. Basically, they were Super Chips, from jwl's old red car, with Mafterburner. We got 332/329 repsectively; we knew the car had more. We got VR old style chip set, made a little bit of LESS fuel on the Mafterburner, same boost level, 17psi, and put down 351/344 respectively. dyno below.

Bret, believe me. That is the very reason for the debate. Just because one can't do it doesn't mean no one else can either.

John, that would not be such a bad idea. There is definitely a market to develop products for 968's. With your expertise on the waterpumpers, the more vendors we have, the better choices we have.
Regards.
