I did a lot of searching on what kind of fire extinguisher mount to get and where to place it. I like the one from Stable Energies, found here but the problem is that they don't have it in stock and might not have it in stock until my DE event.

Are there any other places that sell mounts for a similar amount?

The mount I had bolted in to the seatbelt/harness bolts of the rear 'seat'. Real simple, |_____| shaped piece of stainless with a couple of bolt holes for the extinguisher mount. But unfortunately I have no idea where to buy one. However, I think it would be fairly easy to make one. The side pieces tapered down to about 2" wide, while the main body was maybe 4" wide. Also check ebay. I believe that's where I found mine actually.

I took my fire extinguisher to a place in town, called something like Rochester Fire Systems. They service fire extinguishers for businesses. They had a bunch of mounts in a box, found one that fit, and gave it to me. I gave the guy $10 for his time. Maybe try the yellow pages to see if there's someplace like that near you?

They retail for around $80 + shipping.

$70 shipped seems decent. Only reason Im selling is I have to buy a Brey Krause power mount now.

I thought I had let mine go with the car when I sold it last year, but remembered I gave it to one of my friends. He in turn gave it to his brother to put in his car, so he's going to get his brother to take a pic and do some measurements, when I get that from him I'll post it so you can have one made, very nice simple little design. So long as you don't want anyone sitting in the back seat, it's convenient too.

Jim, I'll take a look at any local places. I doubt I would have a problem finding a place in the city, but I keep the car in very rural area, so my chances are slim...

Russell, please post it when you get a chance, I would think that quite a few people would be interested in that solution. I think I found one of your old posts with a picture of it, but it would be great if you can get the measurements.
